What to expect at KD this 2010.

I have a lot of ideas for Kawaii Darling this year, and I really want to push through with it; as well as a few ideas for myself. Last year, (which was posted at iamvirna.tk), I was planning on making more amigurumi plushies, and felt cakes – the latter still remaining untried. It was an epic fail, I know. All the planning was put to waste. I am always a sucker at making my plans happen, haha! Hence, my New Year's resolution will be (*drum roll please*) ...making all of this work. YAY!
So here is my New Year's list:

TO WATCH MORE (ART) FILMS.

I am aiming for a hundred films this year, and for starters I have made a list of what I want to DVD hunt. If I don't have any good recent finds however, I could review the films that I already watched and have not reviewed yet. I would also make a collections page where I would list down my DVD collection as well as my library. The list items would be then linked if they are already reviewed to their corresponding reviews.

TO EAT MORE FOOD.

Yay for food reviews. I usually list down the most delicious food that I have ever tasted on my private diary, but I have just recently noticed that the list is starting to get longer! I call it "ang pinaka list" or "the best/most". For example, the best tasting sisig is at Oh! Sisig, at Robinsons Metro East (oops, I would actually post this one so that's all for now). My mother is a definite food lover. Even if we don't have enough money she still splurges for food – getting a taste of the reviewed Chicken Cordon Bleu which was featured on a lifestyle show, or eat at a newly opened restaurant just a jeep away. It's her weakness which I inherited from her, lols. I, too, love to go to restaurants just to taste their best dessert, for example; even if it is a little too expensive (Where I would swear never to eat there again, at least I tasted it!). This too would go into a separate new page, with links to the individual reviews.

TO LISTEN TO MORE MUSIC.

Once upon a time, I maintained a music blog of my own, but because I wasn't updated with what's happening in the music scene, and I am already getting busier than ever, I stopped. I am not the type of person confined to a certain genre, but I do notice that there are certain songs of similar genre that are more appealing to me, as a singer and musician, compared to music of other genre. Today, good music is getting more and more difficult to find so starting now, I'll make it a point to research on better music; or to discover the not-so-popular-indie-band treasures hidden in the nooks and cranny of the (hopefully local) music industry. I'm trying to find relaxing tunes, as well as rock-on hardcore blasts.

TO BE MORE ROMANTIC.

This has been a tradition before, even way back when I still blogged at Vox. When Darrel and I were still in a long distance relationship, I would think of different ways to make him feel special -- cheap, simple ideas, but thoughtful and romantic. When I transferred blogs I accidentally erased the posts, as well as lost the pictures, so I would repost each of them again, one by one, then add to it if I think of even more ideas! When Ondoy struck us, Darrel lost all of my little gifts to him, which made him really sad, so this year, I would make it a point to replace all of them, and share them with you!

TO TRY NEW THINGS.

On a more personal note, this year would also be a year to try the things that I haven't tried before, those that I've been yearning to learn but haven't got the chance to do it. Just yesterday, Darrel taught me how to ride a bike. I still can't ride it on my own, without his assistance but I can already balance myself which is good and a humungous improvement from before, when I don't have a single idea how to ride that..that...that thing! Lols. Other things to try include doing a headstand, climbing a tree, and flying a kite. Last year, we have already tried being in a playground late at night, having a picnic, laying down on the grass while looking at the stars, and finally going to his home town, Nueva Ecija to meet his parents.

Now, onto other matters: I have already finished your homemade cards and they are now ready for sending. I am just currently saving for some funs to send them all to you. You guys know who you are. Sorry, but don't worry, it's not a Christmas card anymore, but something more inclined to KD's first year! Yes, you've heard right. KD is now a year old, and has been my longest maintained blog, hooray! That's all for now, cheerio!
