Also February 9, 2010. Right after dinner and digesting a little at Marikina River Banks, we caught up with the opening of an exhibit of an organization I belonged to – the UP Asterisk (Asosasyon ng Kabataang Artista, Kritiko, at Iskolar ng Sining at Kultura ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas). We were a little late already, maybe we arrived 7:30 – 8:30, but that's okay. I was still able to offer a song at the program even! What a surprise that was. I didn't even know I was part of the program, but anyway, I'm happy whenever I sing so that's a-okay by me.
I contributed two works for the exhibit. The first one's entitled "Tayo", which may mean two things: tayo as us, and tayo as an order to stand up. I spray painted faces on a 4ft bamboo pole. I made the stencils myself from the close-up shots that I have taken in the past. My second contribution is "Bangka", oil pastel is the medium on watercolour paper. I'm not a good visual artist. I still haven't found my technique, and even if I do, I know I still have a looooong way to go; but I'm trying.
Going back to the work, for a single boat to move, there must be millions of little waves to take it to its destination. Conflicting little waves might mean the end of the boats journey, so every little wave is a part of its course. Every little wave is vital for its journey.
The program went smoothly. There was food which meant more eating for Darrel and me! The night ended with more performances, but Darrel and I's night ended at UP Sunken Garden. It was already the UP Fair season and we were still able to catch Sugarfree performing our first theme song as a couple ever – "Tulog Na". February 9, 2010 was truly a wonderful day for the both of us. In fact, it almost felt like I was the one who's celebrating his birthday! Haha.

wow :D i love your bangka painting. galing mo naman gumawa ng artworks :D kaka elibs ate virna!
love that lime green dress♥
@ Sara: Thanks for the comment!
@ Jeanu: Salamat! :D True, nag-enjoy nga kami. Hehe.
@ Aehlyn: Aww, why don't you get a hobby? Maraming pwedeng subukan jan na cute at masayang gawin. I suggest Amigurumi!
Wahaha. Matagal kasi ako gumawa...at oo! Haha.
@ Sugar Bunnie: Thanks! I call it my Tinkerbell dress, lols.
