I guess I'm gonna keep the words and sentences short for this post since I know my pictures would more than make up for the lack of it. Posts ago, before I went into a long break I told you guys about my trip going to Palawan, and like the post when I booked my flight, the tour was also a trip of many firsts. I just love first times! Don't you?
We left Friday evening. It was my first time to ride a plane. I was kinda nervous actually since I could see the wings of the plane slightly shaking; however the clouds just took my breath away. They looked like cotton candy. How I wish I could just go out and ride on one of them instead – a childhood dream of many, I know. We arrived and went straight to the hotel. After unpacking our things, we went out to have dinner.
Now, one of the best things about our field trip is that we were allowed to stroll outside on our own, without the need to ask the professor for permission. Puerto Prinsesa is a really safe place, I discovered. They don't have zombie-like rakistas haunting their streets nor even street beggars, and scary topless men like those you commonly find in Manila. You could walk the streets at night and the wee hours of the morning alone without feeling the slightest worry.
We went to the underground river the next day and Mangrove boating.
While I was there, I got a chance to taste an exotic delicacy known as Tamiluk. A wood worm that could be found inside a Mangrove's root. It's eaten raw dipped in vinegar. It was yummy actually. :)
I went out to hear mass alone at five am the next day before we went island hopping, since it was a Sunday. I consider it bad luck for me not to go to mass and go enjoy myself island hopping the whole day.
Island hopping was fun, especially snorkelling! I didn't know how to swim but the vests were enough to keep me afloat, so my lack of skills wasn't a hindrance to me in any way to having fun. When you travel, never let your "buts" keep you from experiencing awesome things or you'll have the biggest regrets of your life!
Although tired, my classmates and I went on a city tour of Puerto Prinsesa the next day. This wasn't part of our tour anymore, but since our flights were still in the evening, we decided to explore a little more. We went to the famed butterfly garden of Palawan, and Baker's Hill. Fun!
We were back in Manila at around 7:30pm. Darrel fetched me from the airport and we went straight home. I wasn't able to go to class the next day though, I was DEAD tired.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures I shared with you! Till next post. Cheerio. :)

I would not have eaten the worms, I have mangrove trees where I live and I never knew they had worms. the church looks amazing, you should have taken pictures of the inside
Thank you for all of your wonderful comments! :)
@ WT: Sorry for mistaking you for Xiao, haha. I was out of my mind. Thank you for appreciating my photos!
@ Sachi: Oo relaxing, lalo na siguro kung hindi ka nagmamadali. Kami kasi ang daming kailangang sulitin kaya nakakapagod rin. Teehee.
@ Sugar Bunnie: Haha, really? Well it was a chance to try something new. Hmm, I'm not sure 'bout the other mangroves, but these with words and we saw in Palawan were locally called Bakawans. Anyway, the masses were super condensed, there were nobreaks in between, haha, so it was pretty difficult to take decent pictures with the mass going on. <3
Again, thank you for your wonderful comments, and I'm really sorry for being inactive.
